Carbon Fiber Carrier Cleaning Process

Crystalline Silicon Carbon Fiber Carrier Cleaning
CFC Clean™

Improved process extends part life and enhances cleanliness.

CFC Clean™, a leading-edge cleaning process developed by Williams Advanced Materials, ensures that at no time will carbon fiber carriers be fully submerged into HF (hydrofluoric) acid. This non-aggressive chemical treatment eliminates damage to carbon fiber carriers and improves carbon fiber carrier cleaning.

Complete HF immersion, a practice widely used in microelectronics for surface cleaning, is not necessary for complete carbon fiber composite carrier cleaning with this new cost-competitive service from Williams. With CFC Clean™, you receive a complete and total outsource cleaning and integrated service package.

The innovative CFC Clean™ process safely and effectively removes SiN deposits from sensitive components. This Williams process involves the selective wet etching of unwanted deposits from a carbon fiber carrier plate’s surface.
