As a leading global supplier of precious and non-precious metal products and services, including refining services for a variety of microelectronics and thin film applications, we have worked with key qualified vendors to ensure that their supply of material does not come from such Conflict Regions.
Non-Precious Raw Materials
Our qualified non-precious raw materials suppliers have instituted specific supply chain steps and have provided affirmative confirmations that such materials are not sourced from Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRoC) Conflict Regions. Included among these are:
- Niobium
- Nickel
- Molybdenum
- Tungsten
- Cobalt
- Copper
- Antimony
- Rhenium
- Gallium
- Tin
- Zinc
- Germanium
- Indium
- Samarium
- Coltan
Precious Raw Materials
Williams Advanced Materials’ precious metal raw materials come from a variety of sources including; refineries located in the USA, customer refines (recyclable products) and financial institutions.
Our primary source of precious raw material comes from reputable global financial institutions licensed to perform metal trading with well-defined trading and sourcing guidelines. Based on our knowledge, Williams Advanced Materials Inc. is confident that the sources of our gold and other precious metals do not contain metal sourced from the DRoC Conflict Regions.
In our refining streams we remain diligent in ensuring that the material does not come from unknown sources or non-traditional applications.
Furthermore, we have implemented an extensive Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program to further prevent that our services do not provide a source for black markets and money laundering.
Our raw materials sources for Platinum, Palladium and Silver have confirmed that all such materials are sourced from areas outside the DRoC Conflict Regions.
With one third of the world gold supply for industrial and jewelry applications coming from refining sources and the other two thirds from mining activities, it is impossible for anyone to fully guarantee all precious metals from refining streams have never contained material from such Conflict Regions. Despite this reality of the precious metals industry, we remain confident that every measure is being considered to support the needs of our industry.
If you have specific questions we ask that you contact your local sales representative and they will be responsible for making sure we provide the necessary information.
